Milton Park certainly has one of the most spectacular gardens anywhere in NSW. It’s honestly one of my favourite venues not only for wedding photography, but also for pre wedding photography. The grounds and gardens are superbly tended to and provide one of the best backdrops for an amazing pre wedding photoshoot. I love taking clients to Milton Park because there’s such a variety of elements to include from pools, waterfalls, pergolas, stone walks and stunning wrought iron gates. The fresh air of the Southern Highlands and the Edwardian architectural styling of Milton Park, paired with a glass of fine champagne will make you fall in love all over again. Give yourself a day or two to unwind and relax with Milton Park’s very own Romance Package, and you’ll be ready to take the best wedding photos with Daniel Griffiths Photography.
“There was once a Golden Era, when Sydney’s wealthy and successful fled the heat of the city to the privacy, comfort and invigorating climate of their Southern Highlands retreats. There, behind imposing gates, up tree-lined driveways, they enjoyed a lifestyle of gentle, relaxed pleasure, eating and drinking well, playing tennis and croquet, watching a season pass in splendid gardens, taking the occasional bracing walk, and returning to the comfort of an open hearth and attentive, discreet service. At Milton Park that Golden Era still glows warm and inviting, the perfect escape from the stresses and pressures of life in the city.”
A must visit while in the Southern Highlands, and one of my personal favourites for a perfect pre-wedding shoot, is the The Press Shop Bowral. Their in-house design team create cards and papers using an old family press dating back to 1893, and are keeping the art of old-fashioned printing alive. There’s also a beautiful café attached to the shop, which is open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week.
Another one of my favourite spots in the Southern Highlands is The Centennial Vineyards. With a refreshing glass of their 2019 Reserve Pinot Rosé in hand, gorgeous vineyards in the background and Rod Stewart (not until October 2020) to serenade you, this place is one gem you do not want to miss out on.
The Southern Highlands are flush with beauty, foliage and some of the best estates and gardens in NSW. We’re truly luck to have the Southern Highlands so close to home. Pack your bags, leave you worries behind and have some of the best wedding photos captured by Daniel at Milton Park.
